I use a sheet ofnthis paper in between freshly written pages of journal paper to prevent transfer or smudging when I close the book, and it works perfectly for this purpose.

For those times I've finished a page but need to flip over quicker than I trust the ink to dry, these blotters are totally handy. Just takes away any and all of my concerns about inks. And slotting one into the pages of a journal means it's always there, super easy. I even stuck one into a Rhodia A5 notepad -- perfect size!

Excellent! Exactly what I needed!!

After purchasing these on a whim, they've quickly became a must-have for every journal I own. The sheets work equally well as blotting paper, bookmark, and palm-rest. I can finish a page, toss the blotting sheet into the notebook (A5), and close it without worrying about the ink smearing on the opposite page. Similarly, I can rest my fingers on it to avoid leaving greasy marks on the paper. They seem to last a long time too; after 4 months of use, I have yet to replace any of the sheets. I'd highly recommend these blotting sheets (or something similar) for anyone who journals, especially those with sweaty palms.
