Galen Leather Zippered 40 Slot Pen Case - Crazy Horse Brown
This Leather Zippered Pen Case has a velvet lined interior and holds up to 40 pens. When you want to carry your favorite pens, you want them protected in your bag, purse or pocket to avoid ink leaking everywhere or getting them scratched. This leather pen holder is great to protect your fountain pens and keep them safe.
With 40 elastic loops, each slot can hold up to a 145 mm (5.6 inch) long pen.
Crazy Horse Brown leather is a distressed brown color showing a lot of different brown undertones including tan, mocha, and hickory. This leather ages and softens quicker compared to regular leather, with a suede feeling finish.
This pen case measures 230 mm x 190 mm x 80mm (9" x 7.5" x 3.2"). It is made of 100% vegetable tanned cow leather with a velvet lined interior and a YKK zipper. It is hand stitched using waxed polyamide thread. The edges are beveled, waxed and burnished for a finished look.

I have about 30 or so pens and this is a perfect way to keep them in a way that fits unobtrusively on a bookshelf. It's also a total delight to bust out when people ask about it. The leather is also buttery soft and the build quality is superb.

I love the pen case. It is a nice color of leather and well made. I did not realize how many pens I had until it filled up. Next, something I can carry with me with a few pens.
I labored over what kind of storage solution I wanted for a long time and ultimately settled on this Galen zippered case for a couple of reasons. One factor I considered was portability, as I wanted something I could grab and take with me somewhere if the occasion ever arose, and I dont think a traditional slotted pen box with a hinged lid or little drawers was going to offer me that. Another factor was how many slots it has. My collection isn't close to 40 pens yet, and it was nice to get something I could grow into. The pen case came in it's own little cloth drawstring bag, and it did come in need of a good conditioning, nothing a little mink oil couldn't fix. Once I applied the mink oil, the husky brown and amber hues of the leather really came out. It soaked up that oil like a sponge, and I would definitely recommend anyone with this case to give it a little TLC every couple of months by conditioning it - it will thank you in the long run. One of my favorite features of the case is the velcro applied to the flap at the bottom: undoing that allow the case to be opened completely and it will lie flat. Clever feature. I recommend this to anyone that enjoys high quality leather goods that are made to last.
I like this pen case very much! The leather is beautiful! It gives easy access to many pens at once. I am able to store my pens in a variety of ways, by colour, by maker, by cartridge use or converter use, or by the order they were purchased. This case is great value for the money!

What’s the best way to store an inked fountain pen?
There is no right or wrong way, but a lot of people find that storing them nib up is good if your pen tends to run wet, or nib down if your pen is more dry writing.
Horizontal is never a bad way to store your pens either, and is what the majority of the Goulet Pens team does.

Help! My pen leaks when it’s in my purse/bag/pocket!
As fountain pen ink is water based, and fountain pens are basically a controlled leak, any type of jostling motion can cause the fountain pen ink to leak out. We recommend you do not carry them loose in anything where they could get jostled and cause the ink to leak out.
