Lots of Room to Write

I love not only the quality of these papers, but also the size, which gives me a monarch size sheet for my long letters to pen pals.

Recommended for Letters

Everyone seems to be recommending this paper to me for writing letters so I had to try some out. I tested some inks on it and so far so good. I used all medium nibs and it seemed to do alright. I used the ivory color and dark red, browns and warm green inks seemed to look best. Black contrasted a lot and seemed to give more eye fatigue trying to read it. This paper gave each of my pens a kind of scratchy feedback which I wasn't sure I liked, but could tolerate. If the nib was already a little scratchy it felt horrible to me. I don't mind a little bit of feedback with my pen to feel it writing over paper, but a slight misalignment is magnified and feels like something is really wrong with my pen and I can't stand it. So beware if that kind of thing bothers you. Overall I think I will enjoy writing letters with this paper so long as I use the right nibs with the right kind of ink.

Great Service in Purchasing a Familiar Product

The paper is fine. It is laid, so not all nibs write easily with it, but I have used it for casual business correspondence for many years.

The best their is for letters

This is the real deal. Almost all inks like this paper (including ones that don't behave on smooth clairfontain paper). The only exception being Noodler's Pushkin (and I imagine others in the Russian series). Anyway, the texture and feel is amazing. So much nicer than the glossy stuff. I feel like anyone who write letters with fountain pens should try this paper.
