This silver replacement Conklin #6 fountain pen nib unit features a smooth writing German-made JoWo steel nib. Both the feed and housing are included.

It will fit into all Conklin pens that have a #6 nib, including the All American, Duragraph, Empire, Herringbone, and Nozac, as well as many Monteverde pens that use a #6 nib.

It does not utilize a JoWo housing, so it may not be compatible with other brands that normally accept a JoWo nib.

Hit and miss

I have found these nib units to be hit and miss. I think sometimes there are nib inconsistencies but more often I believe many flow problems are due to the plastic feeds Conklin/Monteverde uses. Before Conklin switched to JoWo, these same feeds were mated to nibs from other sources but one can clearly see the subtle shape differences between those and the current JoWo/Conklin nibs...and I don't believe the current nib/feed interface to be optimal. Sometimes you'll get lucky and have a good match with great results but they are too inconsistent to be recommended. An alternative solution is to keep your pen's original nib (make sure the tines are aligned to rule that out) and replace the stock plastic feed with an ebonite one that's specifically made for #6 JoWo nibs and the Conklin nib unit/housing.

kind stub nib

that what it is: a kind nib. ink flows just right. not more not less than you need. I loved it from the get go!

Good 'FINE' from Jowo #6. Easily swapped out my stub nib from my amber Conklin duragraph. Wasn't liking the stub and it was under utilized now it's part of my rotation of 5 fountain pens.
