Have loved these journals since I bought my first one several years back. The book seems to be made with laid paper which is something I prefer in all my creative writing and drawing. One side of the paper is smoother than the other; I'm assuming this is because of the manufacturer process for the paper in the journal and I personally quite like it.

Our daughter loves these journals. She is an avid fountain pen writer, so the thick pages are perfect for her.

I love these notebooks. I am an anthropologist and I have been using the Clairefontaine notebooks for field notes for the past twenty years. I particularly love the blanks notebooks but the dot grid keeps my writing a little more organized. These notebooks are sturdy and the elastic band allows me to stash bits of paper that I found in my travels. The paper is great for fountain pens--smooth and just absorbent enough.

The softness, smoothness, and color of the paper all combine to make a notebook I wish I had 100 of. The best thing about this notebook though is how my pens write on it. I haven't found a notebook out their comparable to this one. Whether your looking for a school notebook, a journal, or just something to write in and take notes on anything this is definitely a notebook for you. lol I'm writing this review before I buy my second.

This is a great little notebook that I now take with me everywhere. Only drawback is that it isn't refillable. But for that, it's 5 stars.
