I really enjoyed using the item. I can tell the paper is of a very high quality and it is buttery smooth especially when I'm using a smooth writing pen. It handles pretty much all sorts of flow from dry to really wet very well and there's no bleedthrough or ghosting even with my wettest pens. It also works really well with shading, sheening, and shimmering inks and they often look fantastic on the page when dried. My only gripe is that ink dries a bit slower than I would like but I anticipated that and adjusted accordingly.

I have been using this notebook to plan out a novel and I love the paper! First Clairfontaine purchase and I'll be back for more.

Earlier, I purchased 2 black for my (lefty) husband and he commented on the smooth writing paper. I bought 2 violet for myself and am really pleased... the color is more pinky-purple than violet, but that is shown. Mine came with one slight manufacturing error. Slight and when I brought it to the attention of Goulet, they quickly and cheerfully made it right. Thanks. I love this paper... totally thick enough, though I use fine points. It seems like some feathering depends on the ink, but this stuff is kind to the sheeny inks I like. Lovely!!
