Package arrived in a timely manner. Had to put it up for Mother's Day.She LOVED it!!!

This medic bag is just perfect for my Galen leather A5 zip case, a number of currently inked pens, my brass compass, my bee page holder, etc., etc., etc. I love Galen products because they are quality made for an affordable price. I am looking at several others items from them. Do yourself a favor and get something from them for the Holidays.

I was pretty excited to get this bag�at least initially. But there are some drawbacks to the bag: 1) the clasps on the carry strap come out easily. So I was walking to the office and the bag fell off my shoulder onto the ground. 2) the screws that hold the bag together eventually come loose. And they are small. So, if they come out, you would have a hard time finding them again. 3) the flaps on the bottom of the bag push out and begin to wear that way. So, over time, you end up with a decent looking bag on the outside, except for the weird-looking tabs that push out at the bottom. 4) Very little space. I got the really big bag, thinking I might have enough space to keep my tiny laptop, my iPad and a notebook. There seems to be space. But it seems to be arranged in such a way that you have difficulty making use of it. 5) The pen loops have the same standard size. But none of them fits smaller pens. So, while my TWSB pens stayed safe and secure, my Lamy pens came out and flopped all around the case. The bag has the feel of an alpha-version product that wasn't really tested too thoroughly. On the positive side, the detachable 4-loop tab is really nice. All the pockets are really nice. And there were times I would take the case with me and use the back side as a writing surface.

From the moment I opened the box I knew this was going to be special. The bag comes boxed in a super sturdy customized box and wrapped in a soft cloth drawstring bag. It has plenty of room for your pens, smaller journals,, smaller notebooks, and stationary. The bag itself is not really a bag, but a super sturdy square leather box that will protect your finest pens. The leather is very hearty and super soft (I purchased the Crazy Horse Forest Green. It has a shoulder strap should you want to sling it over your shoulder (along with a fresh baked baguette and some cheese) as you head to the park to write in your journal or pen that all important letter. It is a bit larger and less flexible than I had expected, but that is how it is meant to be. I do not consider it to be small as someone else commented, and is not something that you will put inside of another case. It IS the case. To me, it is just right...not too big, not too small.

I wanted this bag to carry pens, paper and other supplies that I didn't want to leave at the office, as some desks are used by volunteers some days. This bag has become my everyday carry now (my wife says it is my purse, and who am I to argue). Iit holds everything very securely; the magnetic closure on the sides is plenty strong to hold everything in, and the way the top closes down over it is an extra bit of security. The interior pockets can hold paper of A5 or a bit bigger, but not much bigger. Perhaps 2 A5 notebooks in the large pocket. I carry an A5 size Triomphe tablet and a packet of loose A5 Tomoe River paper and the small Triomphe envelopes in that pocket. The pen loops are elastic and hold most any size pen securely. They're spaced well enough apart that pens do not bump each other. The large loop holds my scissors and a box of Pilot mixable ink cartridges. The small miscellaneous pockets on the front are great for business cards, small notebooks, passport or the like. I carry sheets of stamps, letters that are in need of mailing or further attention also fit in that space. All in all, a very well made and very useful product, and worth every penny. My one tiny question is I have seen reviews for this product when it first came out and it came with a leather keychain fob which mine just has a brass loop in which keys might go, but no fob. In the grand scheme of things that is of no importance however. Highly recommended.
