Does the job

But of a bummer that Lamy is proprietary, but it does the job and lets me use in wells. Don’t forget folks, you can always dropper fill an empty cart.

Decent converter, has issues with certain inks.

It's a decent converter that does the job. I find this converter has issues when used with inks that have high surface tension, those inks tend to stick to the walls of the converter and may cause ink flow issues. I cannibalized a spring (used to break surface tension) from another converter and that solved the issue. This converter can be disassembled for cleaning. On a side note, this converter works in many Parker pens. It's a perfect fit for my Parker 45, for example.Whilst this converter is not specifically designed for the Lamy Safari series (It fits, but there are no studs for locking the converter in), I prefer this over the Z28/Z24 for the Lamy Vista since, IMO, the black **** complements the transparent pen better.

FAQs about Converters

What is a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter is a cartridge-shaped reservoir that allows you to use bottled fountain pen ink, when a cartridge would otherwise be your only option. Fountain pens that have this option are usually referred to as a cartridge/converter pen, or C/C for short.

How do I clean a converter pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

You can clean a converter by flushing it out with water, the same way you would use it to fill your pen, but instead of ink you’re just using water or a Pen Flush
