Love this notebook to track projects and journal.

I started buying these little notebooks for my wife. She started journalling a few months back. She loves them. My wife does not use a fountain pen but a ball point. She enjoys the size and the lack of a real binding is probably a plus, since she is a lefty. Recently I bought some for me and I am a fan of fountain pens. I too am a lefty and I like the fact that the notebooks are thin--it Ames writing at he end of the page easy, not binding other than the staples makes it easy to use the whole page and icing at the beginning and end of the book is real easy. I use it for to do lists and general notes both at home and in the lab. Ink does not bleed through, the color looks great and the ghosting is ok, at least with blue-black in.k. I like that fact that there is no margins at the top or bottom or on the left. You can use the book from front to back and back to front with different subject. It is really cool.

I like uses this paper for writing. I find of this notebook I can use both side of the page, with only the slightest of bleed though that is not bothersome to me. I hope soon Goulet will design a lined notebook with more pages and the same quality of Tomoe River Paper.

The paper was fine but the ruling with no margin on top or bottom of the page took some getting used to. The cover is very thin and so I would use this notebook for random notes and ink tests but not as the journal I hope it would be.

Wish they were filled with more paper. The tomoe river in the 52gsm does not feel thin at all. It feels real close to the 68 gsm which I bought both booklets together. It feels almost like regular paper, not real smooth. In fact, I tore both of them down and combined them. I like that you can throw in a purse or bag and feel no weight whatsoever. I only use ballpoint or rollerball pens on these. just to take notes when I am out running around town. I am no help with Fountain Pens.
