Great Accessory for Ahab/Neponset/Triple Tail

I got these to use in my Ahab pens and my Triple Tail. They work fantastic! They hold more ink than the pump fill units that the pens come with. They are easy to load up with ink. Though a little more fiddling to work with than the pump fillers. Just make sure your pens o-rings are in good shape, screw the cartridge on snug and make sure you have silicone grease on the threads where the cartridge screws on or your pen will drool and drip. Just visit your local hardware store and get pure silicone plumbers grease. A $4 - $6 tube of grease will last you for years if you use it sparingly as you should. The cartridge is the perfect addition to a well tuned Noodler's pen for a generous amount of ink. It will keep you writing or drawing for a long period of time. Even if your pen is set up to write very wet.

Impulse purchase

I have a couple of Ahabs, and just thought I would throw these in to the order to amortise the cost and wait. I suspect that they would make a usable alternative to the sample vials.

Reusable / sealable cartridge

Work as described. These fit the Ahab/Neponsit/Tripple-Tail. If you remove the breather tube from the pen (don't lose it), the cartridge will even fit inside the pen body with the cap on (one way only....black cap towards the nib). With the cap on, the Ahab/Neponsit close all the way. The section on the Tripple-Tail has to be left a turn or two lose if you leave the cap on.When you remove the original converter, note that it was screwed down tightly and the threads were sealed with silicon grease. The cartridge also needs to be screwed on tightly and sealed with silicon grease. Otherwise, air may leak in through the threads.....and ink may drip out of the nib.

A real ink cartridge.

This is the way to ink your pen. Large amount of ink. Resealable cap stores on the loaded cartridge. Switch between inks at will. The Ahab and Niponset can both lay down a lot of ink. 308 feeds the need. Now my everyday writers.

The this is a cartridge.

It seems to me ink cartridges are for folk who do not write much. But the 308 is real cartridges. Use any ink and lots of it. Unlike any other system, cartridge or converter. Change between inks is easy. Remove one 308 cartridge, the leak proof cap is stored on the end and thread on another color. A flush in the sink might be necessary but sometimes the changing ink mix is artistic, think music of a symphony. Change back for the salutation.Works in the Ahab and Neponset They both can lay down a lot of ink. Try Mandrin with Niponset and a red ink, New Year is coming.
