The wide mouth and manageable size lets you go low. And the Ink Meiser ink well fits in there, too.

I had two bottles of gorgeous Diamine ink (Sherwood Green and Ancient Copper, for the completists), and! my TWSBI fountain pen didn't fit into the necks. Solution! Get two empty wide-neck bottles, which I did. Now, I can use my gorgeous inks again. Price was right; speedy delivery.
Convenient for its small size, its proportions (tall enough to submerge a nib AND hold an ink miser), and its wide neck. Most bottles I've seen in this size are inconvenient to fill from because they have skinny impractical necks. This is the best of all possible worlds, and I need to stop myself from ordering more than I can actually use.Plus the price really can't be beat.
