Overall I generally really like the Mnemosyne notebooks, they’re sturdy, the paper is good, they have a nice layout. But the one I bought had some mild feathering issues when writing on the edges of the page and I’m not sure why that happened but it’s a little disappointing. It’s a pretty minor issue though and otherwise I am happy with my notebook.

This paper is incredibly smooth and a beauty to write with. It holds up a lot better than the standard papers I used to buy at places like Walmart. It's so nice to write with this paper and just feel the ink gently glide and settle into the paper with little trouble. I've only ever had slight trouble with feathering, but it's incredibly rare and has only happened 3 times.

I love the format of this book. The pages are a great size, and while I have not taken any pages out of the book, it's neat that they're perforated so that they can be removed easily. The paper is good. It's not great. If you consider Tomoe River the gold standard, then this is a solid 4-star paper. It's smooth and there's no feathering or ghosting, but it's a tad on the absorbent side, which affects ink properties like sheening and, to a lesser degree, shading. If you like paper that shows off sheening and shading, maybe go with Tomoe River. Other than that, this is a solid notebook!

I wasn't expecting this to be a favorite because of the somewhat low-rent cover, but I immediately bought two more. Love the dot grid, and the paper is smooooth.

I am a Chemical Engineer and use these pads to take notes on at work. As far as fountain pens go, these notebooks are among the best. Very low feathering, no bleed through and paper as smooth as silk. Love them - I wish you could get these with more pages however.
