It's always there

I enjoy writing. I'm always getting ideas, phrases or words. These Ideas come with no warnings. I used to tell myself I'll write it down later, but of course I rarely remember to do so. Now, with the Travelers Notebook and refills I'm writing again cause it's always with me. I prefer sketch paper because sometimes I'll also do a drawing with the idea. I prefer unlined paper, it just feels better to me.

Durable paper!

Honestly I'm not much of a drawer or painter, so while I'd probably never use this insert again I can say the paper holds up to lots of abuse. I've used watercolors, fountain pen inks with brushes, acrylic paints, glue, matte medium, you name it, and rarely did anything bleed through or warp the paper. I tore out some of the pages I arted on and use them for bookmarks a few years later they're still going strong!

Traveler's notebook

I kept yearning for this and finally took the plunge. Bought the sketch paper refill, hoping to get inspired to sketch. It worked ! I have my first sketch in there already. and my little lilliput pen also purchased recently is adorable and writes very very well. I will be carrying it with me each day.

Wonderful Addition to the Notebook

This refill for the Traveler's Notebook is exactly what I expected: thick cardstock-like sheets that are fountain pen friendly. Each page is perforated and tears away cleanly. This notebook refill can be used with or without the Traveler's Notebook. My only gripe is that this refill is a little thicker than all of the others. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning. However, the only solution would be to have fewer pages and I'd rather stick rather stick with the thicker notebook.

Not a fan of the perforated pages, but love the paper

I love the Midori Travelers' Line. It's some of the best, most versatile paper I've used. I travel extensively and I spend a lot of time drawing in my little book. I use numerous mediums, often reworking sketches over and over again, sometimes with layers of paint, crayon, colored pencils, or whatever else I fancy. The density, texture, and weight are perfect for whatever I throw on it; however, the perforated edges do not work for me at all. The pages begin to seperate from the book early on, and though there are times I enjoy giving a sketch to a friend, I would rather keep my drawings all together. I even noticed one page has started to seperate from the binding, which leads me to question the durability of this refill all together. I have compiled numerous small journals filled with my sketchs years, and they serve as a quick reference for my art work or a catalog of my travels. I expect my books to endure after much abuse. I've decided to give the Midori kraft paper refill a try and see if it suits my needs better. Please don't mistake this review as a condemnation of the Travler's line. I love these Midori books and my Midori goes everywhere with me. My Midori is my go-to analog everything. I've added pics to illustrate the aforementioned issues. You can see I've resorted to adding tape to secure pages to prevent them completely seperating.
