The paper was much slicker than I had anticipated. For fountain pens, this is not a bad book.

This is my second order of the Apica Premium CD A5 notebook with blank pages. The paper is smooth, thick, and BLANK! � just how I like it. No fountain pen bleed-through! I write all the way through on one side of the page, then I turn the book over and write all the way back through on the back side of the pages already written on. That's my little system! It's my go-to journal and I expect to be ordering many more.

The book was great

The paper does feel really really nice. So I kind of save it for the best... until now. I was going to place more orders for this type of paper, but I thought maybe just write something on it with different pens and inks... then I found this paper feathering like crazy! It's totally unaccetablly feathering, it's worse than Walmart $1.99 notebook.Off white was Apica, Dot was Rhodia. Big difference!I just want to point out that my experience was very different from what I have seen on the Goulet Pen's YouTube channel. On that video clip about these Premium CD lines of Apica, I even seen someone draw pictures with a lot of inks, and the image was sharp and no feathering. So if it can be paint some inks on, the stub nib shouldn't be a problem.Anyway, this paper is not good. Feathering like crazy, and bleed through like crazy, and the price point is high, which doesn't match the performance. It's so sad because this paper feel so good, write so smooth, but just can't hold the ink together.... I wouldn't recommend this.

I am relatively new to fountain pens, I wanted to try Apica Paper after seeing a few reviews. I have used Private Reserve Chocolate, Private Reserve Cobalt Blue, and Pilot Iroshizuku Asa Gao and I've found the drying time is too long for me. The pens I've used are Lamy 1.1mm Stub, Pilot Prera italic, and an Omas fine. I found that when I wrote on both sides and closed, the in was still wet and transferred to the other page. Be careful with wetter inks.
