Introducing the Sailor TUZU Adjust fountain pen, designed for all writing styles and habits. With two innovative features, this pen dispels the belief that fountain pens are complex and difficult to use. Experience effortless writing and comfort like never before.

The "Rotating Nib Feature" lets you customize the nib and grip rotation to your liking, while the "Natural Fit Grip" ensures a comfortable writing experience for all finger sizes and positions. With 10-degree rotation options, you can find the perfect hand position while maintaining proper nib alignment on paper. Additionally, the rounded grip has two grooves for easy and comfortable holding. The TUZU Adjust is versatile in accommodating left-handed writers, steep angles, and various gripping habits.

This sustainable fountain pen is made from black recycled polycarbonate. Each pen comes with a stainless steel nib and Sailor's slide-type sealing feature in the snap cap to prevent ink from drying out.

Packaged with a Sailor proprietary converter and two ink cartridges, this pen is ready to bring joy to writing for a long time to come.

Nice Very Fine Line Pen - Overall Writing Angle Not for My Hand

I do not use the adjustable feature. I purchased to get a feel for Sailor pens and can say the fine nib works very well for 5 MM dot grid paper with consistent flow and very fine line. For me it does nt work well on other types of paper as the straightness of nib leads me to need to hold more upright to write, which is not as comfortable as my Lamy Alstar EF. The Lamy line width is wider though- so, as normal, tradeoffs to balance in the use of any pen. Seems like a good value for the cost - for me the overall shape was not ideal —so will use in a more limited manner than had expected.

Great Pen

I can leave it for days and wright immediately, with the cap on of course, the nip stays ready. Plus, the flow is smooth. Grip rotation can be changed which is a unique feature i have not found in any other pen.

My new workhorse

I have a lateral quadrupod grip and a pretty heavy hand, a combination that makes most writing implements with "ergonomic" grips (e.g., the LAMY safari) difficult if not impossible for me to use comfortably. The Sailor TUZU, which is my first Sailor, is the answer to all my prayers. Thanks to the adjustable grip and the size and shape of the body, it feels very nice in the hand, and the nib writes wonderfully -- more smoothly than I expected, given Sailor's reputation for pencil-like feedback, but pleasantly so. All in all, this is a fantastic daily-use pen.

Great Pen

Wow! What a fantastic pen. I have a Montblanc Meisterstuck Classique 145 with a fine nib. The Tuzu that I just got with a medium nib writes as good as the Montblanc if not, better.

This is my first Sailor but it will not be my last! Very smooth writer & overall I just really like this pen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill this fountain pen from an ink cartridge? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

This pen uses proprietary Sailor ink cartridges, which are available in a wide range of colors.

You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.

For even more information about fountain pen cleaning, check out our Fountain Pen 101 video blog post.
