This is a beautiful color, it is definitely in the "Blurple" family but is exactly what I was looking for. The sample also came very well packaged and sealed.

I'm pretty new at this so take what I say with a grain of salt. What I look for in an ink is something that jumps off the page, is very vivid and vibrant and flows well. I can't tell you how many blue purple inks I've tried searching for my favorite and this is it. I first put this in my twsbi eco fine nib and it wrote so smooth, I needed to make sure I wasn't writing with a gold nib. All I can say is my other twsbi eco's didn't write this well so I credit the ink. For reference, my wife swears this is blue and I see purple. Hope my ramblings make sense. Like I said I'm pretty new at this.

This writes really thin and controlled with a dip pen- no splotches or having to extend each letter in order to keep things legible. After writing a letter with it on Tomoe River 52 gsm white paper, it looks like it was written with a standard ballpoint pen. The color applies more blue, but dries to a more purple tone- it's definitely that blurple range where it could be either, though! I look forward to seeing how it performs in a fountain pen with a stub nib and with a medium nib, as my dip pen is a finer point.

My wife and I purchased a few viles of this ink, in two separate orders about a month apart from each other. - My sample was a very dark purple, as her sample was a very dark blue. - Both inks seem to perform extremely well, but the colors are definitely inconsistent, at least in our experience. - Now, I know Oster colors are hand made, from what I've read, and inconsistency can be a thing, so take this for what its worth. - Its definitely worth sampling, but I'd say there's a risk involved if you want a specific color when ordering the full bottles. - Just my two cents. - A great color, and well functioning ink, though!
