Our latest Goulet-exclusive Invincia design! Blue Sparkle City features a blue lacquered metal base, with fun sparkle and shimmer overtop throughout the cap and barrel. It is not coated, so you can feel the texture of the sparkle, making for a really beautiful and unique design!

Assembled by hand, this mid-weight pen is ergonomically balanced and is comfortable to hold, perfect for daily writing. It fills via standard international ink cartridges or converter (included).

Each special edition pen is individually numbered on the bottom of the barrel.

This fountain pen is offered with your choice of a reliable, smooth-writing German made JoWo #6 silver steel nib in extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, 1.1mm stub or the new JoWo Omniflex flexible steel nib for variation in line width. With six nib options, you are sure to find a selection to fit your handwriting style.

Our note about the JoWo Omniflex nib: This flex nib will allow you to experience more bounce and softness than writing with conventional nibs. You can achieve some line variation with a little additional downward pressure, to a point. We recommend flexing the nib to about twice the line width that you would see without using any pressure. Please take care to avoid pressing too hard on the nib, as over-flexing could prevent the tines from returning fully to their original position and decrease or stop your ink flow.

Gorgeous 🖋️

The pen is stunning! It looks so elegant and professional! Writes super well too! The middle text is what I wrote with this!

Sparkle!

This is really beautiful pen, spectacular in the way it catches any light and does indeed sparkle. It has a very high level of fit and finish that does enhance the excellent reputation of Monteverde. It writes so smoothly right out of the box.
A pen worthy of a much higher price in my opinion.

Distinctive and writes well

The pen writes quite well, and the sparkle finish gets spotted in Zoom meetings. It has a good weight posted and the nib glides fairly smoothly with just a bit of feedback from the page. One minor downside is that the sparkly finish makes the posting feel a little less solid, but I got used to that pretty quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this pen with ink cartridges? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

This pen uses standard international ink cartridges, a common size which is available in many colors from various brands.

You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.

For even more information about fountain pen cleaning, check out our Fountain Pen 101 video blog post.
