This Edison Premiere pen is made of a grey swirly resin with a silver clip, and a polished #6 steel nib engraved with the Edison logo. It accepts a standard international converter (included) or short standard international cartridges. It can also be converted to an eyedropper with a little bit of silicone grease.

The Premiere marks the first pen of an exclusive line of Edison fountain pens available only through the Goulet Pen Company. All Edison pens are handmade in Milan, Ohio by Brian Gray and are each unique. We do our best to photograph the pens to show how they will appear in person, but due to the nature of the material, expect some variation in the pattern from what you see here.

We do our best to photograph the pens to show how they will appear in person, but due to the nature of the material, there will be some variation in the pattern seen here. This adds an element of uniqueness to the pen, with no two patterns being exactly the same. We cannot honor special requests.

Note: Edison is in the process of updating their nib designs; our stock is currently mixed and what you receive may or may not match what is pictured. We are unable to honor special requests.

Cool-looking, smooth-writing

A) Looks *good*B) Writes like butter, seriouslyC) It would be nice if it weighed a little more. This is a personal preference, but I wish it felt a little more substantial, especially at this price point.

Wonderful pen!

This was my first Edison pen, but it will definitely not be my last. I've been checking them out for over a year, and decided to finally get one. The nib is smooth straight out of the box, and I'm entranced by its beauty! My collection ranges from cheap Pilot Preppies to some modern Parker Duofolds. The only minor criticism I have about the Edison is that the #6 nib is quite large and it feels bit like wearing a suit that's an inch too big around the waistoccasionally uncomfortable but not a deal breaker. Still, it's a fantastic little pen and I'm really pleased with it. I will definitely purchase other Edisons in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this pen with ink cartridges? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

This pen uses standard international ink cartridges, a common size which is available in many colors from various brands.

You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.

For even more information about fountain pen cleaning, check out our Fountain Pen 101 video blog post.
