Edison Collier in Antique Marble

I purchased the Collier in antique marble with a medium nib. It does not post and at first the pen felt a little short and the section small. But the more I use this pen the more I like it; after using it every day for about two weeks, I find it to be very comfortable.

The acrylic is beautiful and the build quality is excellent. The medium nib writes very well, even though I’ve experienced a few hard starts and skips, which may be due to the ink I’m using.

I’m very satisfied with the quality of this pen and the writing experience it provides.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Excellent nib, smooth writing, consistent flow, perfect shape and balance, beautiful resin. A joy to use every single time.

Edison Collier Fountain Pen, Antique Marble

I've had this pen for a couple years and my son used it just to try it out. He liked the scale of it. So I purchased it for him for his birthday, he loves it. He likes the feel of it. I know that it doesn't dry up if you don't use it for a few days and that it writes like a champ in medium, lays down a nice wet line. Plus the resin is very attractive. Has a little flash, but isn't a canival of colors. Thanks

1.5 mm nib on a gorgeous pen

I have several Colliers so Obviously I really like the model. But this Antique Marble is one of the most stunning ones. It is somewhat translucent in spots making it almost glow in the light. And I have a 1.5 mm nib on it. I am surprised and pleased at how smooth this nib is. I have had no hard starts or skipping at all. And it puts down a nice quantity of ink without being too wet. I put Diamine Ancient Copper ink in it. It's a very nice match. This pen is very comfortable and light. I love the thickness of it. Edison makes some of my very favorite pens. The quality is outstanding. I have never, ever had a nib from them that is not at the least, close to being a perfect writer, though I have never purchased a fine or extra fine. This is a gorgeous writer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this pen with ink cartridges? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

This pen uses standard international ink cartridges, a common size which is available in many colors from various brands.

You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.
