Beautiful ink, dries quickly without drying in the pen if you hesitate for a couple seconds.

I have a number of fountain pens. I do not use black inks because it can be hard to tell the original for copies. I wanted a color that was not blue and was appropriate for signing legal documents. I also want the color of the ink to be related to the color of the pen. So, I have the Violet document ink in my red and violet Cross Chinese Zodiac pens. It works well.

For my editing job, I needed a purple ink that could stand up to heavy highlighting with a standard Staples bright yellow highlighter, and this ink does the trick. Once it's dry, it doesn't smear--even on correction tape!!! The Pilot V5 rollerball I was using previously can't boast as much. This ink flows nicely in my Pilot Metro F nib and even gives some shading on Clairefontaine paper. I'm so happy I found an ink that I can use for work. :)

The ink does what I wanted it for. It is nor washed away and does not smear with watercolors washed over it. That's after it dries up. In this way it is useful to me. It is indeed possible to find a drawing ink that will do this, but this ink can be used in a fountain pen that is more comfortable to draw with for me.
