More grey than black to me

This is a pretty storm grey. It's not as dark or saturated as I was expecting, so this would suit people who want dark greys more than people who want almost-blacks.

good work ink

I enjoy this ink. I am using it with an extra fine, so it goes on wet and as it dries it lightens. It dries quickly however I'm using it as a work pen so not fountain friendly paper. It's exactly what I need it to be.

Attention fellow Lefties

Tested with a Lamy Safari F on Leuchtturm : Dries quickly and made for an excellent break from my preferred Blue-Black inks. Highly recommend for those struggle with more wet inks but want some variation from the limited fast drying colors.

Gorgeous, but a wee bit dry

This a really, really beautiful ink, but it was quite dry in the Pineider Avatar with which I used it. Not one to be deterred, I'm going to try it again in a different pen. It's so lovely.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
