Exactly as advertised

Very cute. And I've had it filled with half a dozen pens and it stands up securely while open. Love it.

My first pen case - and my last!

I was drawn in by the cute animals and am sticking around for the quality of this case. I'm pretty new to pens, and have a mix of Jinhao Sharks and Lamy Safari's, along with a Sailor and a TWISBI. They all fit nicely in my case, which is pretty big and holds 9-10 pens, even with the makeshift dividers I popped in on a whim. My desk is wherever I happen to be in the house, so the case gets moved and carried around a lot. I feel confident that the pens are protected. I've even stuffed the case into my carry-on for a weekend trip and it was perfect. The silicone also cleans easily and completely, whether it's potato chip fingerprints on the outside or a Southwest Sunset ink leak on the inside. The ability to change the carrying case to a functional pen cup is a huge bonus, too. Now that this case is almost full, I have to figure out which animal is going to hold my next batch of pens!

The most delightful little pen case and cup!

I really love this little pen case. I usually use a pen bandolier, but I wanted something a little more protective and that holds more, so I bought this (the fact that it looks like a cat only adds to its value). It's been wonderful! The silicone is just sturdy enough, and I don't worry so much about leaks anymore. And the cup feature is easy to use and is so perfect for when I'm teaching a class or somewhere other than home and want easy access, vertical storage!

Birthday gift

My daughter in law loves cats. She was very happy with this pen holder. Says it May double as knitting needle holder.

Cute and sturdy

Do you think you don't need an animal standing pen case? So did I, but then I bought this and I regret nothing. It's cute, of course, but it's also far more sturdy than I expected (both standing upright and used as a carrying case when traveling). It holds about 8 standard pens (I own a mix of Benu, TWSBI, Lamy, and similar sizes) but you can fit more in if you have thing ones like the Jinhao Sharkies.

FAQs about Pen Storage

What’s the best way to store an inked fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

There is no right or wrong way, but a lot of people find that storing them nib up is good if your pen tends to run wet, or nib down if your pen is more dry writing.

Horizontal is never a bad way to store your pens either, and is what the majority of the Goulet Pens team does.

Help! My pen leaks when it’s in my purse/bag/pocket! 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

As fountain pen ink is water based, and fountain pens are basically a controlled leak, any type of jostling motion can cause the fountain pen ink to leak out. We recommend you do not carry them loose in anything where they could get jostled and cause the ink to leak out.
