A number of years ago I was able to routinely find these Pilot single use fountain pens at my local variety store. I used these at work and especially liked the red ink pens for marking up documents my engineers would submit for review. (I don't think they liked the pens tho!) Then for some reason the stores stopped carrying them and I was unable to find them elsewhere. I was very happy to find these again at Goulet Pens. These pens are perfect for routine use, recording data and casual writing. The steel nibs flow well and are the best I've used. Now if Goulet could only make the red ink pens available for individual purchase I'd be content.
I bought this pen and a couple other pens to try. The price was good and I was really surprised by how smoothly it wrote. An excellent inexpensive pen!
I just started carrying one of these in my bag, for penabling purposes. I kid you not, I gave one away on the first day of carrying it. I was sitting in the doctors office waiting to be seen and filling out some paperwork. An older couple walked in and the woman immediately started admiring my Pilot Custom 74. She waited politely for me to finish my paperwork and asked where I got such a pen. I directed her here scribbling down thegouletpens.com on my pocket pad, gifted her this pen and explained that it's disposable but a fine writing instrument nonetheless. She thanked me genuinely and talked about how she hates ballpoints. It was a delightful experience, and I will certainly continue to keep a Varsity on me in public for just this reason.
