Great ink, unideal size

Love the ink, it looks great. I've been a long time fan of asa-gao, but I enjoy how this is a bit more subdued. The only issue I ran into (and it isn't really Goulet Pens' fault), but the ink sample does not fill well at all on the new pen I got with the order - the Pilot Vanishing Point. So I'd recommend that if you're wanting to try a sample, using something with a shorter filling mechanism. Just something to keep in mind, but did not effect my review of this beautiful ink.

Nice blue

So far this is the top contender for blue ink for me. You cant go wrong with Pilot Iroshizuku inks.

Love This Ink!

This is such a great blue. I am NOT a fan of blues or blacks. They're far too boring and ordinary for me. This one, however, is perfect. It's blue, yes, but is more of a denim blue. I feel like that sets it apart from the boring ones. And, of course, it's Iroshizuku. I love Pilot inks. This one flows perfectly and dries quickly, and hasn't caused any issues at all in my Platinum pens. I'll be ordering a full bottle as soon as the sample is gone.

Great Ink

Another really excellent ink from Pilot. The color is very interesting, but at the same time understated and very live-able with. There is a very nice degree of shading. The flow is good, but the ink is still precise as it goes onto the paper.

Great ink but not my favorite

I have been buying a lot of stuff from Goulet and now that I have about 65 samples an ink needs to be special to really stand out. The pilot inks are some of my favorite inks but this one is just ok.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
