This is the best Gray. The bottle it comes in is great, the Charlie pen is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who uses fountain pens. It can look like pencil in some pens, it can look black in high-flow and flex nibs.Only downside is that it can be quite flow-y on absorbent or cheap paper, feathering leaving blue traces at the edges. It behaves perfectly on papers made for fountain pens, though.

I use this grey in many of my drawing pens. It is fast drying and can resist watercolor. It flows pretty well and the pens are easy to clean. I keep filling my pens with other colors, and then get disappointed and refill with Lexington. For me I love the grey lines, they are almost like a pencil but I still get the benefits of pen.

I forgot I had inked with Lexington Gray a cheap Chinese pen. After four months, I rediscovered where I had put that pen, took it and, to my great surprise, it wrote on the first try!
