Notebook

Great notebook!

Very nice

The journal is as shown in the photos. The colours are accurate. Very pretty colours. Nice hard cover. The paper is on the thinner side, so you can see your writing on the reverse. I mainly write only on one side. For journalling this can be good because when you re-read your entry, you still have room on the reverse side to add some extra thoughts as you think of them. I write mainly horizontally, and when I add my extra thoughts on the reverse side, I write them vertically. I like that the dot grid helps you can write neat and straight in either direction. It's lovely, smooth paper. It's a rather nice quality binding, it's both glued and sewn and opens fairly flat. I like the ribbon and the pocket. If you're not in the habit of ripping pages out of your journal (mistakes), the numbering is nice. The table of contents on the front is a nice touch--I may go back and fill that in later. An enjoyable journalling experience. Depending on the ink and nib you use, you may get some ghosting--I found this happens if I use a glass dip pen with De Atramentis Document Ink. I get mostly no ghosting if I use a (somewhat dry) fine nib with Noodler's X-Feather in Blue or Black, Noodler's Polar Black, or Noodler's Red Fox. I tend to like larger journals so my hand is freer. I did like this journal so much, I went nuts and ordered three more from Leuchtturm1917 in the larger size.

Smaller than I needed but great quality

The quality of the paper is excellent. I just wish that Leuchtturm had a size between the medium and the master; that would be perfect for me. Still, I love these notebooks.

Finally, a Millennial Pink Leuchttrum

I was actually browsing for pens when I saw that Goulet was offering the Muted Colors Collection- I'm pretty sure they are the only site (that I like) that stocks it for American stationary fans right now. 'Powder' is a really lovely dusty pink color, slated for my 2021 Bujo. If they came out with something with even more mauve I think I would just horde them. As a notebook- Leuchtturm has always been my favorite quality for the price. Bleeds a little with very wet inks and paints buts it's not a Rhodia so what did you expect? Have never found anything else that performs quite as well for me. If you are on the fence you should get it and stash it because these seem quite rare- like the limited edition metallics when they first came out.
