This #6 two-tone steel nib fits all larger models of Edison pens (including the Premiere, Beaumont, Collier, Menlo, and many others), as well as many other fountain pens that accept a #6 JoWo nib unit. The feed and housing are also included as part of this nib unit.

Note: The two-tone finish has been discontinued. Edison is transitioning to all gold-plated finish instead, which you can view here.

Waking Up

I am finding that stub nibs soften and beautify my handwriting, and the 1.5mm stub writes like a dream. I love the way it looks on page. But when I tried the pen again after a few days (swapped onto my Conklin All American), the feed seemed to have dried significantly and it needed to be "primed" by pushing ink out of the converter (probably not the preferred method).

I've only had this for a couple weeks, but it seems clear that it will not be a reliable everyday writer. Probably saved for letters to friends or more meaningful writing in my notebook.

Edison #6 steel two-tone stub nib unit

Writes well and looks good. It fits my Magna Carta Mag 600.

Broken-hearted when the feed broke, new unit is such a joy

My original Edison #6 Steel Nib Unit in Silver was great in my Edison Premiere, but after a few years it stopped working and no amount of cleaning would help. I took the opportunity to get a brand new Nib Unit and got the 1.5 mm stub, which is beautifully wet and makes for some very fun writing. I have also changed the type of ink I use in this pen, which will hopefully reduce the chance I will need to be a new Nib Unit sooner.

Fantastic Quality Nib

I've only been writing with fountain pens for a few months but I dove into the hobby pretty deep. I've wanted to try a stub nib since pretty much the start but hadn't yet purchased one. I had also been eyeing this Edison Collier in Persimmon Swirl for a while. I decided to pick up the Collier as well as the 1.1mm and 1.5mm stub nibs. So far, I've only tried the 1.5mm but I'm super happy. It is super smooth for such a large nib, glides across the page with ease. The ink flows right out with no issues at all and once you get the hang of how to orient the nib on the page, you get some amazing results. I realized some time ago that I'd completely forgotten how to write cursive after over 20 years of not having written it, so the photo is the result of 1 week of re-learning cursive as well as only the 2nd page of writing with a whole new style of nib. I'm giddy with excitement though, it's everything I had hoped for!

Great #6 nibs

Very good quality nibs. They are compatible with Jowo nib units. The EF nibs write finer than European EF nibs.
