very pretty color and writes well, but it is *very* annoying to clean pens used with it. Made the mistake of loading up my safari with it and it kinda stained the Surface of the plastic. Getting it off is a massive pain and takes a lot of scrubbing with IPA. Soap kinda helps but only so much. Would reccomend using with pens that are easier to disassemble and clean. thankfully soaking the safari in IPA seems to have helped clean it.not sure what the paper in my notebook is, but it feathers pretty bad, so probably not gonna use it a ton

I've decided I just need to try this in all of my pens and see if any have a fine enough nib for this ink to not just annoy me. I tend to have sweaty palms and the the motor skills of a 5 year old, so water resistant ink is a minimum requirement for me, but actually water proof is a bonus to survive spilled drinks in addition to preventing my sweaty hands from smearing ink all over the page. Unfortunately, this ink ghosts like crazy, which really bothers me. It hasn't completely bled through the 90 gsm Midori MD paper I'm primarily writing on, but there are spots where my pen might linger for a half second to long, and the ink is nearly as visible on the reverse side as it is on page I wrote on. Simply by writing normally, the ghosting is substantially worse than any ink I own or can ever remember using. By comparison, one of my pens spurted out a giant glob of Sailor Seiboku on the same MD paper, and is about a 1/4th as visible on the reverse side as the Document Cyan is from writing normally. If I don't currently own a pen with a fine enough nib to tame this ink, I might just have to purchase an EF from one of the big Japanese makers to see if it makes it usable. Especially, since like a 5 year old, I don't learn my lesson very easily and currently have a bottle of the Document Moss Green on it's way, which appears to have similar behavior based on some reviews I've read online. I still think it's a decent ink, but is probably only suitable for the finest of fine nibs, which I don't think I currently own.

I've been using this in a Faber-Castell E-Motion, medium nib, on Midori MD notebook. It's a nice blue, close to Iroshizuku kon-peki, but with a more subtle shading and it seems to have an almost a matte appearance -- nice character, actually. Smooth writing, it lays down a very thick line -- the medium line looks close to that from the Benu Briolette broad. It's waterproof -- I can lay down heavy highlighter on top of this with no smearing. There is some ghosting, and feathering on this paper (feathering was not a problem on Rhodia or TR gsm 52), but not enough to not use this ink. Other inks I've tried have had not had feathering like this on the Midori MD (Pilot standard blue, Noodler's Liberty's Elysium, J. Herbin Emeraude du Chivor, Iroshizuku kon-peki & ku-jaku). I quite like the color -- the feathering and possibly the thick line might limit my use to Rhodia and TR.

Working in a courthouse I needed archival ink. This works fantastic for me. Almost instant dry times. Waterproof. Works on low quality papers with no feathering and very minimal bleed through. 10/10

I prefer waterproof inks for my journal and for letter writing. De Atramentis Document inks are wonderfully permanent. However, the colors seem rather dull and uninteresting -- except for this one. It's bright and cheery, but not so gaudy that it would be tiresome to read a long letter written in it. It flows well in my Platinum Procyon with a Fine nib. It dries quickly and didn't feather in a Black n Red notebook, a no-name journal I picked up at Target 6 years ago, or a cheap Up & Up composition book (also from Target). There was ghosting in the composition book but not in the other two. I think it will be a good everyday ink. And I plan to try mixing it with the De Atramentis Document ink samples which I bought at the same time in hopes of producing some additional interesting colors.
