This black replacement Conklin #6 fountain pen nib unit features a smooth writing German-made JoWo steel nib. Both the feed and housing are included.

It will fit into all Conklin pens that have a #6 nib, including the All American, Duragraph, Empire, Herringbone, and Nozac, as well as many Monteverde pens that use a #6 nib.

It does not utilize a JoWo housing, so it may not be compatible with other brands that normally accept a JoWo nib.

Conklin disappoints again

The nib review is in relation to my purchase from Goulet in Feb.2024 with the Conklin All American Black Raven FP . I saw this pen was valued at $99 and thought the on sale price would be a good step-up from my entry level Lamy Safari's and a few Kaweco's. The Conklin was scratchy, would stop and at times displayed like a broad nib. So to remedy the nib issue, I purchased the C.JoWo #6 nib which was is also disappointing. The first stroke skips every time (even after cleaning). My Safari's and Kaweco's outperform this pen/nibs at a fraction of the cost from the $99.00 MSRP. After reading lots of other reviews about Conklin, these issues are prevalent. I definitely have buyers remorse. In April my husband purchased a Conklin All American PAU-PRETO CHROME (not from Goulet), and that nib also skipped severely. I wrote the alphabet 10 times on a Rhodia test page and the page looked totally foreign. I exchanged the Pau-Preto for a Pilot E95s and this pen is outstanding and worth the $144.00 price tag, which accentuates the Conklin products are pretty crappy.

Valuable asset

I removed the 'omniflex' and replaced it with this nib. Much better performance.

The nib is okay, not great.

This nib replaces the flex nib that I had in the Conklin All Star. The new nib works better. However, it appears that it needed to be tuned or something before shipping. The tines are slightly unbalanced with each other. It makes the downstrokes a problem. I have to repeat the downstroke of letters. Yet, the nib is far better than the flex nib.

Great nib

Not quite *extra* fine, but i think as fine as you can get while still writing very clean and smooth right out of the box

replacement

This nib worked as expected and was a good replacement for the original extra fine nib that never worked even after extensive adjustments that I had on my All-American Conklin Pen, thank you..
