Handy

While I might be a little pricey for what it is, this pen hold does its job well & versetally. Not just on Travelers, but other notebooks, with hardcovers, too. I'm using it on a moleskin-like book & it holds my Lamy All-Star quite well.

Very soft leather

Most cow based leather is stiff when used in products like this. This pen holder's leather loop is extremely soft. The good news is, it seems to be made of genuine cow leather, as it did absorb the leather conditioner I applied to it. The conditioner I used also sealed the edges of the loop and should provide adequate protection when I place or take my pen in and out of the loop. I am using this pen holder to replace the inside pen holder that came with my Robrasim passport sized field notebook leather cover. The pen I use with this leather cover is the Zebra F-701, a fairly heavy, all metal pen. The clip on this pen loop is very tight and did leave marks on my leather notebook cover when I removed it, which is fine, since the marks show the clip was secure in place and the marks were the result of the leather conditioner I used on the leather cover and were easily buffed out. My only concern with this pen holder is the softness of the leather and the rivets holding said leather. Normally, I dread having to work-in new leather products, but this leather's softness makes me question how long it will last with normal use holding a heavy pen. Time will tell. I might be proactive and buy a second pen loop to secure the lower part of my pen to stop the torsional stretching of the leather loop.

Great for pens that fit

I got this loop knowing that some of my pens likely won't fit. Turns out about half of my collection fits (Wing Sung 601, Karas Pen Co Fountain K, Pelikan M200) and half doesn't (Lamy 2000, Pilot Metro, Kaweco Sport, TWSBI Eco). The metal clip is very secure once attached to the leather, but the flexibility of being able to move it is really nice - it took me a few tries before I found a location that worked best for me.Barring size constraints, this loop is really good at what it's supposed to do. Knocking off a star because I feel like Goulet could compile a list of pens they sell that fit the loop - otherwise, it's really just a gamble.

Great Addition to the Traveler's Notebook

This works perfectly. I use it on my Traveler's Passport Notebook to hold a Kaweco Sport, and it does the job perfectly. Now I can just grab the notebook and not find out later that I forgot my pen!

Didn't live up to expectations

Leather tore from the rivet after very few uses. Perhaps it was defective.
