Princess Koto was a fallen Heike clan princess who was washed ashore and saved by seaside villagers. To thank them, she played a “koto” harp beautifully each day on the beach, but soon fell ill and passed away. Ever since, the beach sand became musical sand, and the beach was named “Beach of Koto.”
This Sailor Pro Gear Slim fountain pen features a light blue resin barrel, a sandy brown resin cap, and applied details of seashells and waves. The flat top cap features the Sailor anchor logo inset into the top finial. It comes equipped with Sailor's legendary rhodium-plated 14k gold nib and is complemented by rhodium-plated accents. The cap screws to open/close and can push to post onto the back of the barrel when writing.
