For centuries, princesses have captured the hearts and imaginations of people around the world with their grace, beauty, and noble spirit. Across cultures and throughout history, these regal figures have been cherished symbols of elegance and virtue.
Now, Sailor is paying homage to these beloved icons with this stunning Princess Raden collection of fountain pens inspired by the enchanting princesses of Japanese fairytales. Each pen in this series is a testament to the enduring allure of these mythical characters, using iconic motifs and colors that combine to tell a beautiful story. From delicate cherry blossoms to majestic dragons, every detail is intricately expressed with Raden (mother-of-pearl) and "yubi maki-e" on the barrels and caps, ensuring that each pen is a true work of art.
Princess Koto was a fallen Heike clan princess who was washed ashore and saved by seaside villagers. To thank them, she played a “koto” harp beautifully each day on the beach, but soon fell ill and passed away. Ever since, the beach sand became musical sand, and the beach was named “Beach of Koto.”
This Sailor Pro Gear Slim fountain pen features a light blue resin barrel, a sandy brown resin cap, and applied details of seashells and waves. The flat top cap features the Sailor anchor logo inset into the top finial. It comes equipped with Sailor's legendary rhodium-plated 14k gold nib and is complemented by rhodium-plated accents. The cap screws to open/close and can push to post onto the back of the barrel when writing.
The Professional Gear Slim fountain pen comes with a Sailor proprietary converter as well as two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges. Click here to shop all compatible Sailor ink cartridges.
