Sailor Manyo Fuji - 50ml Bottled Ink
50ml square glass bottle of Sailor Manyo Fuji dual shading fountain pen ink. This smooth-flowing water-based dye ink is specifically formulated to be safe for all fountain pens.
Fuji is a light amethyst purple that shades out to different purples. As part of the third release in the Manyo ink series, Fuji is a dual shading ink, which means it shades different colors than its base colors when pooling into areas of high and low concentration on the paper. Dual shading inks are really fascinating.

I love this ink. It flows nicely and looks great on the page for both writing and doodling. I'm very happy with this and look forward to trying others in the Sailor range.
I got this ink with very high expectations based on other reviews and posts I've seen and the descriptions I've read. I was really disappointed when I tried this out last night. It's a nice, light lavender purple, but I tried it on 4 different types of paper, Tomoe River, Lecthturm1917, Life and Midori. Regardless of pooling, I could not get anything other than either barely legible lavender or darker lavender that could easily be read. Just really bummed. I've only found 1 ink that I could get to sheen and that is Organic Studios Nitrogen, which is so smooth, pretty and easily sheens on everything.
Fuji is one of my favorite Sailor Manyo inks. It's a gorgeous violet/amethyst with various purple shading (lavender) and a turquoise halo. It gives everything its got best in a wet nib on water resistant paper, but it looks nice in any nib. The finer the nib, the more pastel the color.

I am totally in love with this multi-color shading, but my one problem is it has a very distinct funky chemical smell that I do not appreciate. Other then that, I have had no issues at all!
