A gorgeous purple ink from a company I knew nothing about.

Drew Brown recently reviewed several overlooked brands. Rohrer * Klinger inks were among them. Their "Cassia" is a very sophisticated purple. There is no doubt that it is purple, but you easily can get away using it in a business setting. The ink quality seems to be very high. I'm well-pleased with this recommendation.

Perfect Purple

A wonderful, rich purple ink. Just the right colour (not too pink, not too blue), and saturated. Sheens to a lovely gold. This ink is ideal for pens that are too wet, like a flex pen which can blob. It flows just right and has a nice lubricated feel. It is also a great price so there is nothing to complain about. Highly recommended.

The Truest Purple

I've been looking for the purplest purple and this is it to me. It is the right shade on the page. It is dark enough to not be a violet but not too dark to look black on the page. It is saturated and flows well.

Lovely ink

I'm enjoying this lovely grape ink, definitely a keeper. This medium purple does best on good quality paper. On thin, porous paper, like in a school subject notebook, it will bleed through. I was using my new Omniflex Conklin pen at first and the paper type will make a difference between a wet nib or a normal one. My Sailor pen with a fine point had the same thing happen.

Wow. Best of the purple sample

A brilliant shade of purple that works beautifully with fountain pens as well as pointed pens. I can get fine lines as well as bold shading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
