50ml plastic bottle of Robert Oster Signature fountain pen ink in the color Lake of Fire.

Robert Oster Signature Inks are handmade in Australia. The recyclable PET bottles are manufactured in Australia's first carbon neutral plastics plant.

Note: Robert Oster is in the process of changing the labels on their bottle and the label on the bottle you receive may vary from what is pictured here.

A message from Robert Oster:

My great interest in fountain pen inks – and by extension inks that combine many creative applications – began with the birth of my love of fountain pens in 1989.

As Robert Oster Signature Inks are quite recent to the market, think of the interim between 1989 and today, as the fertile ground into which my present love of all things ink was seeded and grown.

The contents and packaging of my Inks are all nature friendly and the colours a genuine inventory of the Australian palette.

Robert Oster Signature originates from one of the most famous wine producing regions of the world, the Coonawarra district of South Australia, an idyllic setting with great influence on the senses. There is my inspiration. It’s a joy to share it with you.

Fabulous!

This is my new favorite ink. Beautiful, dries quickly. Looks great in my TWSBI indigo blue with bronze accents.

Nice Blue Color but little sheen for me

I like the ink, and all the Robert Oster inks ive tried for that matter. It flows well and looks great. I was hoping for more red sheen though. Ive tried it in my 1.5 mm stub nibs and still get barely any sheen unless i intentionally overwet the nib by dipping it or "forcing" it through. Even my swabs show hardly any. Ive tried it on quite a few good papers as well. Still happy with it overall.

My favorite color!

My wife got me a pen engraved with a few lyrics from a song that reminds me of her. If you could only see, by Tonic for my birthday, so in turn I purchased the color ink that most closely matches her eyes and so now I have my first pen that will only have one color in it forever. And that is Robert Oster Lake of Fire!

Favorite Ink Color

I throw this right into my Parker '51' and it's ready to just glide across my Rhodia dotpads like icing on a cake. The blue has fantastic depth and is professional enough for workplace note taking. Strong Reccomend.

Not a sheener, but a great teal!

This is not a power sheener like Fire and Ice , however once you adjust your expectations you can appreciate the beautiful teal, the nice shading and the very subtle sheen at the edges of the letters which adds an elegance only you will know the secret of. This ink does not lose much in saturation even when diluted 1:1 with water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
