Rich Dark Purple

The ink is a beautiful dark purple. I found that when the ink first lays on paper, it comes across as a blue-purple but then dries into the color seen in the ink swatch. Wonderful color and behaves well in my pens with EF nibs.

The dark purple I was looking for

I got a sample of Deep Purple and loved it. Almost black but not quite. Goulet was out of stock of the bottle so I bought it from another retailer.. unfortunately, the ink in the bottle looked nothing like the sample. It was way lighter. Thought maybe it was the pen so I cleaned the pen and filled it up with the sample. But nope, the bottle was a different shade. Anyway, I love the sample so much and see that Goulet has the bottle in stock now so am planning on buying another bottle.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
