Nice Dark Blue

A nice deep blue. I was looking for a blue/black or very dark blue and this fit the bill well. It is also a an inexpensive brand so if it did not work out it was not a big deal.

First ink tried and the most regretful choice made and to never get again

In the beginning when I first used it, it had a nice consistent flow. As I now reach towards the last 15ml, I started to encounter problems regarding in flow even on my Twisbi Eco. I thought I had some problems with my pens when I was using the ink, but it was actually a problem with the ink. I was foolish for picking fast drying ink properties because it will cause you headaches and problems as you use up your ink bottle because for some reason, I'm getting so much skipping and the pens aren't getting good flows despite filling it up all the way. I'm just trying to use up all of my ink that I bought since April 2022. Never touching fast drying ink again because I now realized that this property is useless and totally unnecessary as other types of ink dry perfectly fine on regular printer paper. The exception maybe ones that have high sheening or other additional properties.

Don't sleep on PR

I feel like Private Reserve is a brand that slips under the radar. I don't see it mentioned very much or get reviewed often. I probably shouldn't be reviewing this ink as what I own is quite old (10+ years) so my views are from before the company was bought out. The Midnight Blues that I have tried (in short cartridges) has been superb. It flows wonderfully. Writes a little wet which I like. This is my favorite blue/black that I have tried. I am going to keep buying Private Reserve and tell everyone how great they are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
