2ml sample of Private Reserve Infinity Brown fountain pen ink, in a labeled plastic vial.

The Private Reserve Infinity Ink collection uses the E.C.O. (Extended Cap Off) technology, a new advanced ink formula which allows a fountain pen user to leave their pen uncapped for a longer period of time without drying out.

Your exact results will vary based on your specific pen, environment, etc, but our testing was pretty consistent to be able to leave a fountain pen uncapped for an hour and to have it start writing back up without issue.

Just what I needed - a savior to my Brown Pen

I have a Conklin All American with a Golden Walnut body. I knew before I bought it that the porous wood tends to dry out inks quickly. After testing several samples from GPC, I matched it up with Private Reserve Brown as the color I was looking for. This combo dries out in the pen overnight and it is hard to start the next day. I tried sealing the pen with boiled linseed oil. This helped but still dried out faster than I liked. I am tickled that Private Reserve has added PR Brown to the Infinity line. This is just what I needed. Indeed it does resist drying out in this difficult, but beautiful pen. I have a bottle in my cart awaiting my next GPC order.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
