Immediately impressed me. It has a nice, quality feel to it when writing. Smooth and clean, no feathering on my paper. Its a VERY dark bluish purple, reminds me of the original Barney the Dinosaur before he turned pink but you only see it when you smear it. All other times it appears black with the smallest hint of purple. No skipping or hard starts, minimal shading, no sheen. Very well behaved in all my pens.
Dark, almost black. Dries fast. Performs OK on cheap composition notebook paper, not great. No feathering, but it does shadow and can bleed if you dawdle with what you're writing. I tested using an EF Lamy Safari only, so I can only imagine the damage a medium or broad nib would do on cheap paper with this ink. I wasn't blown away by this (color OR properties), but there's nothing wrong with it.
It wrote darker than expected but it was perfect for my needs. I loved the hint of purple. I bought the sample size and it's already gone! Time to order a full bottle!
