Beautiful complex color

It is perfect for landscape sketching, the first color upon application is a beautiful natural green then it turns dark black-green. Quick drying, waterproof and beautiful complex color. I love it and re ordered !

Yes, This one

I have a short list of qualities I look for in an ink: 1- waterproof. Ink is INK, it shouldn't wash off. 2- Dries quickly. This varies with type of paper, but by the time I get to the end of a line, the beginning of the line should be smear proof. 3- Tight line -- no spreading. I want an EF line from an EF nib. Many inks give a fatter F or M line even from an EF. Platinum Classic Forest Black is a rich, dark green that checks all the boxes. BONUS: it gives some nice shading. NOTE: Pen, feed, and paper variables will affect your results. I'm usung Miliko 100gsm journal paper.

Great for cheap paper @ work!

I bought this and the Lavender Black after reading up on inks that would work well on cheap paper - I use a cheap notebook at work for taking orders and this ink has performed best for that purpose out of over 10 samples I tried - minimal bleeding, no feathering, and dries quickly enough for me to turn the page when I need to. I love the olive-toned forest color as well! Will definitely be purchasing a full bottle.

My New Fav

This ink is so lovely. I have it inked in a Kaweco Sport with a fine nib. It is the perfect shade of green for my Hobonichi Weeks. Already purchased a full bottle:)

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
