on salePilot Iroshizuku Kosumosu - 50ml Bottled Ink

I got the sample and put it in my TWSBI eco and as a lefty I love this ink. Pilot inks never let me down, and this shade of pink is easy to see, which I love. It doesn't really shade MUCH, but I love it. It behaves so well.

I'm very happy with this ink. It's a beautiful rose, not too pale on the page, and flows well from my BENU fine-nib pen. It's more water resistant than I would have expected. Very pleased with my purchase.

After buying 2 samples I decided to buy the bottle. :< The first thing that really caught me (after seeing I got a red tootsie pop!) was the silver box - just very nice & surprising - I don't normally comment on packaging. Taking the bottle out of the box, I literally said wow... It's such a simple and elegant bottle - elegant in it's simplicity. Now for the ink - it's a very beautiful shade that I think iof as more of a light red than a pink. So many pinks are cotton candy or bubble gum or neon - but this, like the bottle, is an understated and elegant shade. In my Monteverde F, it flows nicely and has shading to it, and the overall shading rating is lower that what I've experienced. Overall this ink impressed me from start to finish. This was such a pleasant surprise, as I've bought bottle of inks for years, this is the only one that caught me off guard, in good way, especially at this price.

I like it. I have only tried it in a Pilot Metropolitan with a medium nib.

It took me two samples before I finally ordered a bottle and I'm so glad I did! It's such a vibrant and bright pink; it looks amazing on white or cream-colored paper. It has a great flow, very saturated, and bonus (!!!) it dries extremely fast!
