A very light blue

Yes, it is beautiful. The color is light, very light and I am concerned that it really won't be practical. Also purchased Yama Budo and the color was much more saturated.

Perfect Light Blue

I got this ink to replace Sailor Ink Studio 140 in my pursuit of the perfect light/bright blue. After using Ama-Iro for the past couple of weeks I almost think I like it more than Sailor 140. The flow is much better than the Sailor ink. The color is a bit more on the turquoise side than I expected but the amount of green in the mix is very low. It really pops off the page. It also looks great on both white and cream colored paper. Its not as formal looking as Kon-Peki so I mostly use it in my journal. I really like it though its one of those colors that makes me feel happy when I write with it.

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
