Beautiful pink

I finally found my pink. As another reviewer stated, this is not too blue/pale/orange/mauve or hot - which is very difficult to find. This is soft but legible, bright without being neon, and pink without looking like something Barbie would have in her pen. It's got a bit of shading and is a very smooth ink. I ordered the sample as I've honestly never been keen on Pelikan's colours, but I will be ordering a bottle of this.

Disappointing shade.

I usually pre-order Pelikan's ink of the year. After so many disappointments and delayed deliveries, I waited until release and only picked up samples. Just not a lot of effort in differentiating from anything else

Legible soft pink with good behaviour

So far my favourite pink was Herbin Bouquet d'Antan, but the flow is no very good and it's not very smooth to write with, whatever the nib.So I 've been on the hunt for a good pink, with gonna flow, something light but still legible, and soft. There are many good hot pinks out there, but I really wanted something soft, not a watered down red, not a fuchsia nor a magenta, and not something so pale that you can't read it once it's on the page (I am looking at you, Ferris Wheel Press, with your pastel beauties that no one can decipher)So far Rose Quartz has been my best catch. Not a dupe for Bouquet d'Antan, I still regret the delicate powdery charm of Bouquet d'Antan.... But Rose Quartz is close enough, and it is super wet behaved. Smooth and just as wet as it needs to be, beautiful shading, beautiful halo effect when used with a wet nib. And decidedly pink-rose while still very legible. I tried it in a sample, and now I will get a full bottle. Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
