3oz (90ml) glass bottle of Noodler's Yellow fountain pen ink. Noodler's inks are handcrafted, so there may be slight color variations from batch to batch.

Please note the label has changed since our original bottle & swab picture was taken; you'll likely receive the flowers version instead of the generic catfish label.

great ink

bought this to mix my own ink colors, and it's great for that purpose. a pretty quick drying ink. this is my second yellow ink from Noodler's, and i find that Noodler's Sunrise is more readable on its own than Noodler's Yellow. the Yellow is a true yellow, not leaning toward orange at all, and it needs bright light to read it.

So bright and vivid!

I bought this to use for paintings and find it works like most other Noodler's inks, although it takes forever to dry (and sometimes dries tacky). I read a few reviews that say it's too light for writing, and while it really depends on how wet your pen is, I found it is dark enough and even borders on orange, especially when used with a flex nib. I'd say it flows well. When I drop it onto wet paper, it has a tendency to stay in one place rather than spreading out, which can be good or bad depending on the look I'm trying to achieve but it is a behavior that appears frequently in my more inexpensive inks. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the vibrant color and saturation, and while I have worked with higher quality inks before, I would recommend it for such reasonable price. 3 oz of ink really is a lot to work with! Noodler's fills their bottles to the very brim, so be careful when opening!

Noodler's Yellow is a true yellow, and nicely visible.

I have several other inks that are in the yellow category, which do various jobs around my notebooks and pens. I just got Noodler's Yellow and it fills a slot that none of the other yellows are able to handle.Noodler's Yellow is an orangish-yellow, almost amber, and it does not fluoresce under UV light. It is a visible, bright yellow, though, since it is more opaque than some of the other yellows such as Noodler's Firefly. If you want a fluorescing yellow, try Noodler's Firefly. The Firefly yellow is not quite as opaque as the Noodler's Yellow but it does shine brightly under UV light.

Good pure yellow

I bought this ink to mix with other simple Noodler's ink colors like Navajo Turquoise, Shah's Rose and Black to make my own blues, reds, oranges and greens. The first blend I made with this Yellow includes Shah's Rose, resulting in a pure, clean, not too pale orange. It behaves well with my extra fine Esterbrook nib. When I mix inks, I go carefully -- I first make a very small sample and set it aside for a few days to verify that the inks do not react badly with each other before I fill any pens.Being able to mix my own fp ink colors is great, but I will continue to look for Nathan's specialty blends -- anything with unique properties that simple ingredients would never produce.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pens can accept this ink? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

Any of these fountain pens will work with bottled ink. Typically, as long as the pen can be filled with a converter, has a built-in filling mechanism like a piston, or can be eyedropper-filled, it can accept bottled ink. You can also refill an empty ink cartridge from bottled ink using an ink syringe.
