I obtained this color in the dark red/burgandy set, and this guy came out as the most realistic oxidized blood. I absolutely recommend this ink. It's beautiful and deep.
Some of these comments say it comes out a brownish color but mine looked like a bright red when I was hoping for a deep, dark red. May have some inconsistency in the production? Doesn’t look like the picture on the website.
I picked this ink looking for a fountain pen alternative to UNI Ball's Red BLX that was at least somewhat water resistant. This is a little brighter red than I was hoping for. The swatches online make it look blacker and more subdued that I have found it to be in real life, but I still think it's a great ink. It flows great from my Pilot Custom Heritage 92 M, has noticeable nice shading, and doesn't bleed or feather much at all, even on cheap paper like the budget copy paper we use at work.As mentioned, I was looking for something slightly darker/blacker, but overall I would say this is an excellent ink, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solidly performing red ink with some water resistance.
Very subtle and beautiful
This ink is good but it is more red than I expected. I thought it would be more like a reddish black, or dark scarlet, but when writing with it it just looks like a normal red. Thinking about mixing some with my noodler's black to experiment with making it darker. It's a good ink and writes well on more papers than I expected
