I've been using Diamine Oxblood for my go to red but wanted something brighter. Was going to get Diamine Wild Strawberry but was worried it was too bright and went with Noodler's. I'm happy with it but would go with something brighter next time to get the ink with a fine nib to pop off the page more. Other than that, absolutely no complaints with Noodler's Red. It's a great standard red one would expect.

I'd love to say this is a great ink, but it's a bit polarizing. I love the way it flows and the color payoff is STUNNING. The saturation is great. It's got moderate shading qualities and a velvety true red color I absolutely adore, which is where I give most of the points.Pluses: takes additives well (mica, gum arabic, etc,) color payoff, saturation, shading, velvety, applies great with a brush. The minuses: it takes forever to dry (but this is an obvious quality of Noodler's ink, but this is one of the MOST wet of theirs) and it WILL smear on all but the most porous papers after drying. Very annoying it it's in a bullet journal or planner, as it requires coating.
