Noodle brown Ink

I love the color and the shading.

Gold at Last!

While I was uncertain of what color this would truly come out to be (brown or yellow), I find it has a decent balance of both, making for a fine gold. The shaded/wetter regions are a deep yellow or brown, and the lighter portions are undeniably yellow. And not some sickly highlighter yellow, either, but one dark enough to be readable but vibrant enough to be distinctly gold. The quality of the ink itself is also great. I've heard VERY mixed things about Noodler's, but the flow, shading, and wetness are all perfect. It does not bleed, it dries rather quickly, and it is easily readable. Hard to find a yellow and be confident that it's easy on the eyes, but here you are. It does not smear when highlighted over, either, and I find it dark enough to be able to read clearly even beneath another color, though some darker highlighter colors (blue or purple) may make it difficult. Perfect gold!

What a great looking ink!

I love this ink! I've tried it in two of my pens so far, and it writes a little wetter than some inks in both of them, but it is a very visible color, and shades beautifully. There may be a whole bottle of this in my future!

An eye-catching golden color

Noodler's Golden Brown lives up to its name. The color is golden with undertones of earthy brown. It nice to look at without being too loud. The ink performed well in both pens I tried it in too. I would recommend this ink with no hesitation.

Noodlers Golden Brown Ink Sample

I like the color but the ink isn't what I'm looking for.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
