An interesting red with nice shading. This will change hue a bit depending on the paper. Can be used with a wet writing nib without bleed or ghosting. I love it enough to fill my Vac Mini with it.

This is a very nice flowing ink. I've tried it in a Pilot Vanishing point and an Ajusto dip pen nib, and it has had a very smooth writing experience in Traveler's Notebooks, Field Notes, and Tomoe River paper. I've not noticed it fading to pink as others have described. Not much shading. I think the color is akin to a red pencil (almost identical color to my Sanford Carmine Red) and harkens back to faded red lacquer finishes. If you like reds in that shade, then this is one for you.

I love Noodler's inks. The brand is consistent and easy to use. They flow well and easily. This read is glorious in color and depth. It is a bold red and the only red ink I use. It does bleed through on thin papers, link copy paper, but I still love it. This is, in my opinion, the best red on the market today, bar none.

As others have said it's a bit of a tattered red, or red-pink. But something I wasn't quite expecting and the title of this review hints at it�it is opaque red (red-pink). It caught me off guard at first, but when I thought about it, it made more sense. It's well behaved ink overall I feel.Pairs almost identically with the Pilot Custom 74 in grenadine, which I purchased at the same time as this ink.
