Great Ink just not for my use case

The ink is beautiful, smooth, and wet. Everything you could want if you're not worried about dry times. I was using it to take notes and I learned very quickly it's not too well suited for that when you need to get words on paper fast. Love the color though!

Solid ink, don't get near water

This is a great everyday ink. Doesn't smudge, and writes super smooth.

Great colour

Bought this to try a fast-drying ink (in my first order, turns out I don't really need it). Love the colour but it feathers horribly, even on Rhodia.

Nice color and dries extremely fast

I think my adult daughter will get a laugh (although it's no laughing matter) from the bottle label of this ink, so I ordered a sample to try before buying her a fountain pen. She totally agrees with the commentary as do I. I'm pleased with the ink. Although it soaks into paper very fast, thereby drying extremely fast, it doesn't seem to feather on regular paper, and the color is nice with a lot of blue in it. It was out of stock here so I purchased it elsewhere. I was hoping for a glass bottle but received the white plastic one, which is rather unattractive compared to glass bottles. I think this ink would be a good choice for those who've not used a fountain pen and will be using it frequently in a work environment, as this ink dries so fast it shouldn't smear. It would also be great for lefties. I'm gifting it with a gray Metropolitan Retro pen and black #16 Rhodia notepad, ordered from Goulet. The bottled ink is now back in stock, and if the glass bottles are back I might order another bottle just to get it in the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
