2ml sample of Noodler's Blue Ghost fountain pen ink, in a labeled plastic vial. This is an invisible ink that can only be seen under UV light.

Fine, but not worth the cost of shipping

Very fun ink

This ink makes me smile every time I use it. A friend of mine and I discussed invisible inks, so I surprised her by writing an entire letter to her in this ink and sent her a UV light so she could read it! Works great. I can't really address flow because I used it with a dip pen.

I feel like a spy

I bought this ink simply to feel like a child again and pretend to be a spy. This ink works great, I had no issues with it in my TWSBI Eco and it was bright under a black light. Very nice ink.

Shows others there's nothing to see here

It's probably growing up in the height of the blacklight section of stores like Spencer's and covering my bedroom walls with as many uv posters as possible to live in a purple dark room through high-school, and using anything with fluorescent ink to make non-uv posters also glow in the blacklight. I have clearly never grown out of this phase, nor do I plan to. I use this ink in porous point pens like refilled papermate flair (lightest shades well flushed of original color work best) to get the best coverage so you don't have to be right up on it to see clearly. Instead of a basic blacklight or uv flashlight I prefer using a uv gel polish curing led light for fingernails. This blue ghost can also be added to lighter shades of non-uv reactive inks to get them to react under blacklight also. Loving uv reactive colors as much as I do it would be the bomb-dot-com to have a sampler collection of just the different uv reactive colors all together.

I am writing to fing Brian Goulet at the other end. Hey Brian, your videos have provided me entertainment as well as education over the years. I have been a customer of Goulet pens, I have got some sweet products. My agenda here is to get you familiar with some local pen manufacturers we have here who make pens from scratch (even nibs). I would love to send you some samples at me own cost if you would like to review them. Please let me know if you're interested. These pen makers have been born out of pure necessity and sustained through decades. One such makers is Ratnam Pens ( you'd find on google). I would love there to be a documentary evidence of a fountain pen manufacturer from my region. Even if this works out or not i would like you to know that I am a big fan of your blog and your channel. Keep on spreading the spirit. You may reach me on [****] or [****] ( my whatsapp). Keep on giving us the good content. Cheers !

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

Check out our blog post on How to Fill a Fountain Pen from an Ink Sample Vial, or watch the video here:

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
