Moonstone's medium cool-toned brown is one of my go-to ink colors. It's well-behaved and gives the writing a suave, vintage look. Highly recommend.

Love Monteverde inks. The color is different from debar I have and I am enjoying using it.

My experience was with a 90 mL bottle that came as a free gift promotion with a Monteverde Monza in 2018, but the 90 mL bottle no longer seems to be a product Goulet Pen Co. carries. The color is very interesting. Warm brown, a little bit gold or bronze in darker shadings; conversely, sometimes shows greenish when diluted or when rinsing out of a pen. Lower saturation, but not so much that it impedes readability, at least in a thicker and wetter pen. It's currently inked up in a FPR 'Muft' pen (M), and looks great. In the past, I've had hard start and flow issues with it in a M and 'Flex' Monteverde Monza, but I haven't tested to see if it was an issue with the pen that affected other inks. The most recent inking-up is what provoked this review, actually; I noticed, when pipetting ink from the bottle, that the ink had congealed in places. The consistency was similar a blood clot, and thick enough to prevent the pipette from drawing up. I don't know if I'm just running across it now because the ink level is lower, or if it was insufficiently sealed from air, or if it was caused by not agitating the ink often enough and letting it settle, or if it's related to the ITF Ink Treatment Formula additive somehow. It's definitely not from light exposure, since my inks are kept in a drawer. In any case, I figured other potential users might want to be aware of this peculiar and unsettling behavior.

Love: I love the color of this ink. It was a go to choice for a long time. Then a new color came along and I forgot about it. Hate: When I rediscovered it, (dusty and forlorn) it had turned into a grassy green. My fault for displaying it on a shelf instead of putting it in a dark drawer is suppose. Anyway, I miss the beautiful brown that it was...

This ink is beautiful. It works flawlessly with my pilot custom 823. And the color is exactly what I wanted, an antique brown sepia kind of color. It looks elegant and antique.
